Grip-Strength Meter od Ugo Basile automaticky měří sílu stisku (tj. nejvyšší sílu a odpor v čase) předních končetin a – prostřednictvím volitelné mřížky – zadních končetin u potkanů a myší. To umožňuje posuzovat účinky léků, toxinů, svalových relaxantů, nemocí, stárnutí či nervového poškození na sílu svalů.

Použití

Při tahání za ocas se hlodavci automaticky chytají, čehokoli mohou, aby zastavili tento nedobrovolný pohyb dozadu, dokud tažná síla nepřemůže sílu jejich stisku. Pokud se tedy zvíře umístí před GSM tyč, hrazdu či mřížku, zvíře se jí chytne.

V momentě, co zvíře pustí tyč, zesilovač automaticky zaznamená a uloží nejvyšší hodnotu tažné síly dosaženou končetinami a zobrazí ji na displeji.
